Summer holiday

We are back from a wonderful summer holiday in France and Spain! All started when Larry and his family came for a visit. They invited us to France, and david always love the patisseries there, ofcourse we say yes!....:). It was nice to see their kids, Sky and Seige. While they were here we took them to Windsor town and Legoland.
We took a train to Paris. After checked in the hotel, we went for a walk to the Rodin museum and have a rest at the Eiffel Tower's park. The weather was superb and everybody were out enjoying the sun. The next day we went to the Louvre museum. It was great!. I went to see Monalisa painting again...:).
The next day Kim and I leave the kids to their fathers and decided to do some shopping!. We went to the famous Gallerie Laffayette and Printemps. We had lunch at the sushi place and two tea breaks while shopping. David called later in the afternoon and seems like the kids were at the Disneyworld!.
The next day, checked out and to Disneyworld again. Amira and Seige went for a long que for the face paintings, it was beautiful, I love it!. Later when we were ready to leave, my mobile badly needed a top-up and I have no clue how to do it in France. Seems like David and Amira was running around looking for me! I've been walking up and down around the exit not knowing where to meet them. It was madness. Luckily I remembered we need to catch a train at 6.30 nearby. So I crossed my finger and waited there. I was so relieved to see Larry. It was a 3 hours train ride and finally we reached Montpellier. We went to the wrong hotel! it wasn't fun, we were tired and just wanted to zzzz. But we got it fixed later. The next day, chilled out and walk around the town. Managed to see the famous castle, so big, it's a town inside.
We rented two cars and Amira wanted to join Sky and Seige. We continue driving south and on the way David and I stopped by at the famous castle, the Peyrepertueuse. It was a long hiking up the mountain, but it was a superb view at the top, worth the climb....:).
Finally we arrived at Ardelles, one of the famous coast with beautiful beaches. We were lucky the weather was nice and having the beach just outside our hotel. We were there for four days and we love it!. Food was superb and they also have a huge bouncy castle and amusement park. Kim and I enjoyed the shopping street there.
While staying there, we managed to have two trips to a beautiful town, Coulliour. We saw horses and have a nice dinner on the boat's restaurant. I love all the seafood I had, the squids were so fresh and soft....yummy!!
Then time to leave and drive down along the coast to Barcelona. It was a beautiful drive and we were amazed with the superb view along the coast, highly recommended!!.
In Barcelona, David managed to do one meeting while I played with the kids. Finally time to go home and the Larry family continue their summer break to Warsaw.
I came home with sunburned, but a sweet and wonderful memories.....:):).

Trip to Sweden

We had a wonderful trip to Sweden. It was a last minute pack and I was not happy with that. We went to The royal Windsor Tatoo show the night before. It was fantastic. Large crowd and superb performance from the beautiful royal horses. They have it at the royal park and we could see the beautiful view of the castle during the sunset.
At night, last minute packing...grrr. When we arrived at Arlanda airport, went to get the rental car and drove to Uppsala. Checked in hotel and went out to look for a new shoe. My new shoe is killing me...arrgh. Amira and Adam got themselves a new pair, the one with lights. Later David went out to meet Lars. He came back and took the kids out for dinner and came back with delicious kebab(maybe because I was hungry).
The next day we were suppose to meet Cecilia and I thought we are going to meet her infront the kungs Carl boat ride and go to Skokloster castle. We were late and rushed out and jump on the boat hoping Cecilia already on board, but we were wrong...:(. Before boarding the boat, we saw Nazri and managed just to say Hi. It was a nice trip to see the castle and relaxing at the park, the kids love it. We have a nice lunch at the castle cafe and let the kids run around the garden.
When we heard the boat horned, we walked to the deck, but the boat have already left. It was strange because the lady at the store said it will leave at 3.30, but seems like they must have left at 3. Luckily they turned around, just to get us! we were pleased!
The next day, pack and drove to Malou's place. On the way, saw Hazreen, Ipin and Nabeeha walking around Uppsala town. What a big coincidence.
Had a great time at Malou's place. Love the food, beautiful view by the Baltic sea and kids were happy.

Happy Birthday Adam

Today my little hero turned 2. I was so excited and looking forward for a small celebration with the family. I was so happy to hear that Angela and Peter are coming too. Ida asked what to have on Adam's birthday and I remembered when I was small I used to have the special pulut kuning(yellow sticky rice) with rendang(chicken with coconut milk) for a special occasion. Ida cooked the special Rendang Tok, yummy.

I was also craving for Ida's delicious kueh and ask her to make seri muka if Angela come(I've been so lavish with delicious food, I tried to have it only when we have guest).
The night before David was busy baking the special cake with Amira's help(she love to help papa in the kitchen). We stayed up until 12am and I wished Adam Happy Birthday, he just smiled and continue playing.

Adam is my superhero now(sorry daddy...:P) and I love him dearly. Always a happy boy with a big smile, when he is quiet, we know something is wrong or he's not feeling well. This boy talks a lot! but in his own word(very cute and funny..:)). Always amazed me, he seems to understand everything we say to him. Very determined boy, when he wants something, it's impossible to change his mind with something else. Always pointing at the rice pot when he's hungry. Love to say hello to everyone and very2 friendly. When he's thirsty, he will grab my finger, lead me to the sofa, pat on the pillow, pointed at me and then pointed to the pillow, 'mama lay here'...emmm...melted.

Ok, back to his birthday, we had lunch without David....:(, he went for a meeting with the housing agent for our previous house(with credit crunch, it's been moving very2 slow....sighh). David came when we were relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather. Later he decorated the cake and put lots of berries. We were so excited and took some photos. The minute Adam saw the light up candles, he was so excited and tried to blow it from his seat, so cute. He love it when we sang Happy Birthday song and keeps on humming the music the whole day.

Then time for him to open his present. The day before I went out shopping(when I asked Amira if she wanted to come along, she said she hate shopping....I was speechless!) and bought him a water toy and a small tent. He love it. Not to disappoint Amira, as a thank you for celebrating it with Adam, I gave her a baby doll and she love it!. Adam got lots of greeting cards from Sweden(thank you all) and a book from jonas and Malou, how nice. Thank you to auntie Angela too for a nice present. All in all we had a wonderful day.

What a day

This morning I woke up with a big surprise to see Amira with red marks all over her body. Called the surgery(still with my pyjamas) and the lady said they were booked for the day, but when I say it's urgent, she managed to squeeze us at 10.35a.m. I quickly get ready and went out to the surgery, leaving Adam with K.Ida.

The doctor said it's hard to tell what triggered the rashes, he gave us a prescription and advise us about her diet. I was so relieved. Later we went to the pharmacy. Unfortunately they don't have the medicine in stock. Since mama need mocha, she put on a sweet smile to her hubby and lured him to our favourite cafe, The Fego cafe. Emmm dark moccha cino is so yummy with omelette croissant. Then we drove up to Sunninghill and glad they have the medicine. Right next to pharmacy is David's favourite, the monger store. He bought a lot! it was easy to buy anything I want there, papa just nodded. Amira got the magnet paper clip that have animal sounds which is so cute. So, cat for Adam and horse for Amira. Still worried about her rashes.

Next, David is very much into gardening and with his sweet smile, I drove to the nursery. Since we park near the furniture store, we went there to have a look at their sale. David could not resist and bought a coffee table(he already bought online similar one, so need to cancel that). Then we went to the aquarium section, Amira love to see the fishes there. I'm so close to buy aquarium and fishes, but cancel it. David was aiming at the big aquarium tank and was drooling with koi fishes, he plan to have it in our pond. I went there back and forth and still not sure what fish to buy, so I skip it. Papa bought 3 orchids!, they were so lovely.

Back home, Amira getting better, glad. David made a delicious seafood pie(just warm it in the oven, but he added extra cheese(fat free of course), yummy). At night Ida came from visiting her university with her hubby and Adam. Adam seems to enjoy his trip.

last week, Roman came to pay us a visit. I went to his wedding last year in Germany and was hoping to see his wife, but he came alone. He was on his way to Singapore, Malaysia and Acheh. He going to finish his Phd in Acheh. It was nice to see him again, Amira and Adam played a lot with him.

The next day we went to factory outlet. I was so excited to send some shopping to my sister Yana in Malaysia. Hopefully she can sell some to her friends. Amira was happy to see the playground and let mama do shopping. Later in the afternoon she wasn't feeling well and her temperature has gone up, she keeps saying 'Mama, I want to go home', poor darling. She say no when I wanted to go to another store and say ' No mama, u cannot shop, no more buy mama'. She knew her mama is crazy with shopping. Finally we went home(still managed to leave when shops are closing...:):)

Weekend stayed at home. Sunday, papa went to watch tennis tournament. Later in the evening the kids and I went to the playground at the Windsor, glad they loved it.

Monday, hehehe I went to a Make up class. Time for me to find something to do. In the class, there were only four of us and they taught us how to do a bridal make up, evening and special occasion make up. It was a good experience for me. I wish I could have a beauty saloon.

A walk to remember

Last week hubby asked what would I like to do on Valentine's day and I said I would like to have a trip to London, just the two of us and he nodded..yippie...:). I was so excited and looking forward to it, counting days that moves so so slowly. Luckily I suggested that we go a day before to avoid crowds in London. Knowing my other half, I'm pretty sure there will be some walking, so I wore a flat and comfy shoe....Oh man...I'm glad I did!. Lars came the day before and invited us for a nice lunch which I have to say no because I've put on so much weight(Raya trip + Paris + Christmas + RDWT..+ new chef at home..+..+..ouuchh!!.

On Friday morning, we woke up very early(the only nice thing of being jetleg), but still managed to get out of the house around 10....grrr! Parked our new(not brand new though...:P)luxury car and hubby asked me to buy ticket while he go to the cash machine. Really not used to buy ticket from the machine(sungguh terkial2). Car park says close at 9p.m, but managed to convince hubby that it's only for the entrance gate and pretty sure they will not close the exit gate by 9. I was right, well....partly(when we got back all the entrance to the car, all the doors to the stairs were closed, we were a bit panicked but was glad to see a guy climbed the entrance gate and drove his car out, the exit gate was open....fuhhh....legaaaa(glad)).
Arrived at Paddington station, I have to rushed to Starbuck and get my mocha(need it to kick start my day, hubby don't like coffee, so he went to Paul and bought a yummy croissant, then assured me that walking to Harrods is nice...grrr. We walked to the park, admiring all the birds, squirrels, swan, ducks. The walk was nice and not as long as I thought it would be(David said I've been so much better(I use to refuse to walk any longer after a long long walk...and lately I never complaint)....I've been trained!.

Since David is not properly dressed(Adam was hugging daddy with his breakfast mess before...:)), I thought it would be nice to do a shopping for him. We got him a nice cashmere sweaters, new pants, jumpers, socks and yes! a Prada shoe(I should have Prada shoe, not him!)!!. Later he asked if I would like to do my shopping and I said, my shopping will be the whole day and I don't think he will be patience enough to wait, I'll save it with my girlfriends later....hehehe. I saw nice dresses that I would like to add to my collection and David always reply with a simple answer "Yes my dear, I will buy it for you when u fit size tut"...:P:P:P, sebab tueler tak dapek(thats why I never get it)....

We ate Sushi for lunch and after looking around at the home section(David almost bought the dining table set there!)we went to patisserie and have a delicious ice cream, nyum nyum. Then on the way back try to persuade him to take the subway instead of walking...but failed. Finally after some walking, he agreed to just get a cab, yippie! before that we stoped by at Wagamamma and have a delicious shrimp dumpling and fresh juice to ease the aching feet.
It was a nice night out and David suggested we go for another date....how sweet..:):)!

I'm back

I cannot believe I've been away from writing this blog for more than 5 months!! time surely flies! Well...I'm back now and looking forward to a new, more writing and a prosperous beginning of the year 2009.

Life has been so wonderful and blessed for me. We moved to a new house, new place, new school for Amira and a new beginning for me. Hubby was busy decorating our new garden(he love gardening) and I've been busy decorating(or actually filling up...aka shopping!!..:):)) the new house....hehehe.
Not just that, in October we went back to Malaysia to celebrate Hari raya, then in November my brother, sister and Kak Long all came to see our new house along with their families.

We have 6 kids and 7 adults to spies up the place....:). It was wonderful and Amira loved to have her cousins around, sungguh meriah!. We celebrated Raya Haji with them, first with a morning prayer at the mosque and back home with a delicious Nasi soto, nice to have it when it's cold outside(well not as cold as now, it's snowing outside!).

Next David's family came for the christmas celebration. It was a really nice gathering with Jonas, Malou, Cecilia and Olle. Malou prepared all the delicious food and she made wonderful christmas cookies, gingerbread cookies with Amira's help and bulle too. Amira wore a beautiful princess dress papa bought in Paris and Adam is super handsome with a new clothes from Paris too. Of course christmas is more about opening lots of presents for the kids and they love it!!

Finally to marked the end of the year 2008, David surprised us with round the world ticket! We've been thinking about it before and would like to do it before Adam reach age 2, but there always something hindering us for doing it since it took a long time to travel and we have many doubts on how the kids will handle it. Monty invited us to celebrate new year in Kota Kinabalu and David need to attend Linux conference in Tasmania. Since I have never been to Australia, he thought we should go for RDW trip. So, finally he bought the ticket when we were in Paris with my families from Malaysia, how sweet. I must say the trip was so wonderful I cannot wait to spill it all here. Ok, will write more soon....tungguuuu....:):).

We are moving

Finally, we got the key of the house. It was a long wait for David. He couldn't bare it and called the current owner. Steven said he already left the key to the agent. David called them and after some calls(because they wanted to make sure all the paperworks are done), then they released the key, phewww. We were sooo excited and left the house at 4p.m.

It was the first time we entered the house that belongs to us, BIG smile on our face. We talked a lot to Amira, explaining that we are going to stay in this house. Amira seems to understand.
In the evening, we have to rusedh back for my driving class..arrghh...I hate it!!.:(:(.
The next day we waited for Simon to come and look at our house. He is going to help us finding the right person to help us moving.

Few days later, the mover came and packed all our things. It was so much easier that last time, no wrapping to do on my side. I thought it will be easier, but I was wrong! When the boxes arrived, they recommend us to unpack the kitchen boxes ourselves!!, since we know our kitchen better....grrr. We worked so hard to unpack all the +-100 boxes! (in the kitchen alone!).

They did a great job in packing, every thing is nicely packed in three layers of paper! That was the longest time for me to open presents.
